Palotoa Amazon Travel, as a tour operator to the Manu National Park and the Tambopata National Reserve, feels a responsibility to keep the Peruvian Amazon clean for future generations. On each of our tours, we do everything possible to ensure we make the least impact possible. We explain and raise awareness among our travelers to be respectful of the environment. On each of our tours, we recycle and collect trash to take it back to Cusco for proper disposal.
Since hundreds of national and foreign travelers visit the Amazon every day, the local people traveling do not have awareness of keeping the route clean. They throw plastics, bottles, and all kinds of trash on the road.

That’s why Palotoa Amazon Travel organizes cleaning trips along the route from the entrance to the Manu National Park in December, which is the time of year that receives the fewest tourists.
Palotoa Amazon Travel teaches how to preserve the environment through reforestation and conservation works and talks on climate change awareness, as this last year we experienced a lot of heat, drought, and constant hurricanes in this part of the Peruvian Amazon.
