Cusco Manu Amazon Tours (6 Days)

Ecological Adventure in Manu National Park 6 Days / 5 Nights this tour crossed the mountains to enter the cloud forest, where we observe some rides for several species of birds, orchids, monkeys. After spending the night at our private lodge (Balcony lodge) 3h continue by boat downstream to our (Palotoa amazon lodge), then we will visit the hot springs along the way. In the afternoon we will do a night walk to observe spiders (tarantulas), insects, frogs and snakes.

The next day we explored the jungle primary (virgin) with the opportunity to see many species of monkeys, birds like parrots and incredible variability of plants such as the giant trees, palm trees and medicinal plants. We slept in a camping, well we will see a lick of mammals and at night you can see tapirs, deer and other animals.

On the fourth day return to the lodge and travel by boat to visit a beautiful lake and see capybaras, and many bird species, spending the night near the river high god mother in tents. On the last day we will return to Cusco by boat and bus. The program can change according to the road, weather and river conditions and wishes of the group.

Day 1 – Cusco – Rain forest Lodge:

We will leave from Cusco by private bus, first stopping to visit the pre Incas burial towers of Ninamarca .We then drive through the mountain to get to the typical folkloric town of Paucartambo here we will take a short walk around the town before carrying on to tres cruces , the highest point of and entrance to Manu national park .

From here we will continue in to the cloud forest and at san Pedro we will walk for around 1 hour to observe the national bird of Peru , the cock of the rock and many different kinds of monkeys, plant and flowers .We arrive at our Rain forest lodge in the evening where we will stay for the night.

Day 2 – Rain Forest Lodge – Palotoa Ecological Reserve:

After breakfast we will continue by private bus to Atalaya. On the way we will stop to observe a coca plantation, we will also stop at a view point where you can get a good overview of the jungle and river. From Atalaya we leave by motorized boat to Aguas Calientes, where you can bath in the natural hot springs.

During the boat trip we will see many different kinds of animals, especially birds, and a beautiful landscape. Then we will continue downriver to R.E.Palotoa Lodge for dinner. After dinner we will take a night walk in the jungle to look for spiders and snakes. We will spend the night in our beautiful, comfortable lodge.

Day 3 – Palotoa Ecological Reserve – Inchipato River Camping (Tents):

This day we will explore the jungle on our vast trail system, carrying a small day pack including lunch. On the way we will see many different kinds of the animals such as monkeys, collared peccaries, birds such as eagles, parrots , toucans and medicinal plants and the giant trees. later we will arrive at a river called inchipato, there we will spend the night in camping.

Later in the evening we get to the mammals clay lick we will prepare our beds in the camping, taking shifts to watch for nocturnal animals (protected by mosquito nets).

Day 4 – Inchipato River Exploring:

this day we will get up early after a good breakfast we will start walking river up, since it is a very quiet place and there is a lot of animals we will be exploring this area, we will have the chance to see animals such as the tapir, deer, river otter, monkeys, alligators and birds like parrots, toucans, during the tour we will have the activity of sport fishing, and of course we will have a refreshing bath in its crystalline waters.

Later there we will be able to cook our food with fresh fish in bamboo canes and leaves of Heliconia or banana leaf, are typical foods of the Amazon, later we will be preparing our camp to spend the night in the middle of a virgin forest, accompanied by a campfire and enjoying a few cookies prepared by our cook, in the optional night to see nocturnal animals and fishing .

Day 5 – Inchipato River – Palotoa Ecological Reserve:

this day we will wake up with the sound of the animals, after breakfast, we will prepare our luggage and then will return to palotoa lodge, walking slowly we will arrive in the afternoon in the way we will have more option to see biodiversity our guide will explain us all that we can find, arriving at the lodge in the afternoon we will have a siesta time, and we will spend our last night in a comfortable lodge.

Day 6 – Palotoa Ecological Reserve – Cusco:

We will get up early and after breakfast we will return to Atalaya by boat, where our private bus we will wetting for us to take us back to Cusco via the cloud forest. We will arrive to Cusco in the afternoon.
