Trip of a Lifetime
I just returned from the 7 day trip. From the pickup at our Cusco hotel to the last mile our friendly and knowledgeable guide Michele was always available. I truly enjoyed his company and he answered all of my questions. His ability to identify wildlife made it much easier for me to locate the animal, reptile or bird with my binoculars. I'm 70 and kind of fit and I made all the hikes and side trips. The days start very early and often goes into the night - don't miss any of it. The jungle and river was alive. Our guide totally made our trip memorable and comfortable. He knew the answer to all of our questions. He found wildlife. He took care of his crew. The chef was TOP notch! I fell in love w the chefs creations and omg the soups. Some of the best I’ve ever had. This was the trip of a lifetime and I felt guilt for almost being pampered by the 5 star treatment. ❤️ One of the best decisions we ever made. And bonus… we saw a female jaguar along the bank of the reserve zone That is worth its weight for the price of the trip. Palatoa is trustworthy, dependable, and quality. Five days in Tambopata was absolutely worth it
We chose the Tambopata Amazon Tours 5 Days because we didn’t want to rush our time in the Amazon, and it was the right decision. We spent our days exploring the jungle, watching wildlife and enjoying the river, with plenty of time to actually take everything in. Amazing, authentic and immersive experience
Had a fabulous time on the trip, we were extremely well looked after and always felt safe and secure. The food was delicious and there was a huge variety each meal time. Our tour guide, Moises Llaqui, made this trip so special. You could see just how enthusiastic and passionate he was about the jungle and all the wildlife and animals there, it only enhanced my own excitement and enjoyment. He is a brilliant tour guide and anyone would be lucky to have him. Saw some beautiful creatures and landscapes, although, prepare for lots of time spent on a boat and in a van. What a wonderful trip to the Amazon. Our guide Moses was amazing, very good company and has an amazing wealth of knowledge of the local flora and fauna. Moses has an amazing ability to spot wildlife! The chef was also outstanding whipping up delicious meals on boats, roadside and at the lodges. We saw a spectacular array of wildlife and were even fortunate enough to spot a jaguar! Amazing Wildlife on the Macaw Clay Lick 3 Days Tour

A Great Experience on a Tambopata 4 Day Tour
Four days in Tambopata gave us plenty of time to enjoy the rainforest without feeling rushed. We saw several different animals, enjoyed the boat rides and learned a lot from our guide. Our time in Manu was one of the highlights of our trip to Peru. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helped us understand so much more about the rainforest and its wildlife. We did the 6 day Manu Reserved Zone tour and it was an incredible experience. Six days gave us plenty of time to go deeper into the rainforest and see a surprising amount of wildlife. Our cook Luz was amazing, the food was 5 stars! We seen lots of animals thanks to Abel and the team being great at spotting them. Our accommodation was also great. We had a combined trip: the Inca Camino (4 days) and Manu National Park (4 days). Everything was professionally prepared, and the guides were excellent (Paul on the Inca and Michael on the Manu). I cannot rate Palatoa Amazon Travel highly enough. Firstly, me and my partner booked a 7 day tour and found out on the day we were the only ones on it. Given that the tour requires a chef, two boat drivers, a bus driver and a tour guide, a lot of tour companies would have asked us to change the dates or cancelled our booking but palatoa never said a word and continued with the tour, a real testament to the way they operate. The tour itself was absolutely incredible from start to finish. Our chef Santos was amazing and each meal was great, sometimes making us breakfast and lunch on the boat itself - we were constantly impressed with what he made. In the seven days we did not go hungry, and we didn’t eat the same thing twice. My partner has coeliac disease, and everything was gluten free without compromising on taste. She felt very safe eating everything. The boat driver Jack was very skilled at navigating the sometimes shallow water of the Dos Reis river along with co driver David. Our tour guide Raul was so kind to us throughout our trip and we always had something to do for the 7 days. We were lucky enough to see a Jaguar in the wild which was a once in a lifetime experience for us, and one that is hard to put into words - all made possible by the work of this team. We wanted a tour where no animals were enticed to come closer or fed, and there was none of this and you can tell the guides have complete respect for the natural environment. The team was also as excited as we were seeing wildlife, and it really shows that they have a true passion and love for the Amazon. The accomodation is also great - yes it is basic, but you stay in some beautiful little wooden lodges tucked away in nature - exactly what you would want on a trip to the Amazon, and they had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We felt completely safe on this tour from start to finish and could not recommend it highly enough. My only recommendation for anyone considering a tour, try to do 6/7 days if possible to get into Manu Reserve - this is where you see much of the wildlife!
